Used scratchcards
105 x 128cm

Created by hundreds of used scratchcards, this work is a reflection of our vulnerability to believe in the impossible. The artwork, created by cutting up remnants of cards that did not win, serves as a commentary on the illusion of hope. Traces of traces layered on top of each other. By collecting and compressing hundreds of discarded player cards into an object, we begin to reimagine scratchcards and the action of scratching, as a language of its own.
