LOOT BOX NO.2, 2023
Paper on Board
73 x 73 x 73cm
LOOT BOX NO.2 takes its name from the virtual containers found in many video games, items bought with real money, their contents revealed only after purchase. Like slot machines or scratch cards, they play on chance and anticipation. This work explores the blurred boundary between digital expectation and real-world consequence, questioning how systems of virtual reward influence our behaviour and perceptions beyond the screen.
